Wave Nationals will take place in Port Macquarie
All registered competitors for the 2008 Wave Nationals will receive an email on Friday 25 Jan confirming their entry and competition details. If you do not receive this please contact Emma on 0417 265 774 to ensure your registration has been received. Due to the success of the 2007 event, we are pleased to announce that the 2008 Australian Kite Surfing Association Wave Nationals will take place in Port Macquarie, NSW at various locations (mobile event to gain best riding conditions), on 6th - 10th February 2008. The 5day event will showcase the countries top wave riders to the media and public. Over 100 entrants will travel from across Australia to compete for the Championship in the various divisions. Rider qualification is based on previous event results and decided by the respective state associations. Wild card entries are also available. The National Championships will decide the nations wave-riding champion in various divisions including Youth, Women, Masters, and Opens. It is being run and officially sanctioned by the Australian Kite Surfing Association with the organising committee including Glen Hooper, Richard Taaffe and Emma Gibbs from AKSA. Divisions and places are limited and pre-qualification will be determined by state titles and previous results from similar events.
