• Non-members are all benefiting in some way although they are not directly supporting AKSA and its affiliated state or local associations. What AKSA does for members

AKSA issues each member with a personalised National Membership Card along with a National ID Tag. These were introduced in 2004 as proof of membership and allows fellow kiters, and various local authorities including councils and surf lifesaving clubs to identify our members. The National ID Tag is to be attached to your harness at all times and has become a necessary requirement to kitesurf in various locations across Australia where restrictions have been imposed.

• Membership gives you $10m in Third Party Public Liability Insurance 24 hours a day, every day of the year whilst kiting anywhere within Australia and overseas (excluding USA & Canada). Combines with the development of the Safe Kiting Guidelines and implemenation of the cards and tags, this gives the sport valuable recognition and safety assurance in the eyes of councils, government bodies and local authorities
• Membership allows you to enter a variety of competitions and promotional activities all across Australia
• You will receive regular newsletters (via email or post) along with news on latest developments, promotions, activities and benefits
